Jewels & Gems crag in Chapel Pond Pass is the place to be this Wednesday night for our weekly climber meetup. J&G has a super quick approach, and routes that range from 5.6 to 5.11. With face climbing, cracks, and overhangs, this crag is a classic for a reason. Link in bio with driving, parking, and route info.

This week’s meetup is at The Creature Wall, accessed from the parking area for Giant’s Ridge Trail trailhead across from Chapel Pond. Routes are moderate, ranging from 5.6 to 5.10c, so a little step up from our last few meetups. Hope to see you there. We climb till dark, so don’t forget your headlamp! (And your towel for a dip in chapel pond after.)

Here’s our plan for July’s meetup crags to get on your schedule! Location is subject to change based on day-of conditions, so keep an eye on our stories in case anything changes. In case of a rain out, we usually go to @vanhoevenberg’s indoor gym.

A multi-faceted meetup this week down at Chapel Pond. Take your pick of bouldering, or heading up the slab in small parties. Either way, we’re sure the pond will be calling to us in the heat, so don’t forget your swimwear and towel! And headlamp! Parking directions and more info at the link in our bio.

Notch Mountain is the place to be this Wednesday evening! We’ll meet at the Copperas Pond parking area on Rte. 86 at 5:45, then hike the ~10 minutes up to the crag. With routes from 5.2 to 5.7+, this is a great spot for new climbers. The crag also features stunning views of Whiteface and Wilmington Notch. Parking and approach directions are linked in bio.

Come bask in the golden hour gleam at the Baker Mt. crag in Saranac Lake this Wednesday evening. We’ll meet at 5:45pm at the parking area along Moody Pond, then hike the ~15 minute approach up to the cliff (parking location and approach directions are linked in bio). The crag offers beginner-friendly 5.4, a selection of moderates, and a few harder test pieces. See you there!

The rain has thwarted us again! We’ll meet up at @vanhoevenberg’s indoor Hi-Notch Gym tonight to try out their fresh new roped routes, bouldering wall, and tension board. Great opportunity for new climbers to try it out! See you tonight.
After-hours climbing runs from 5-8pm and costs $7.

This week’s meetup will be at the McKenzie Pond Boulders in Saranac Lake, starting at 5:45pm. We’ll start at the first set to make sure folks can find us, and then move back to the other sets. Bring your pad, shoes, chalk, and headlamp! And maybe some bug repellent.

Back on rock, baby! We’re headed up to the summit of Owl’s Head Mtn in Cascade Pass for this week’s climber meetup. Meet at 5:45pm at the trailhead gate, and then head up the trail to the top for fun top roping and leading. Great spot to start dialing those crack techniques back in for the season. Temps will be around 50, so don’t forget a warm jacket and your headlamp! More info at the link in our bio.
