See you for tomorrow’s meetup at Baker Mountain crag in Saranac Lake. We’ll meet up at 5:45p along the road next to Moody Pond (be mindful of parking!) and then do the 15 min hike up to the crag. Approach description is on Mountain Project (link in bio). Don’t forget your headlamps!

Baker is a beginner-friendly crag with routes starting at 5.4, with harder test pieces as well. And the bolted TR anchor is top-accessible if you don’t want to lead!

Tonight’s meet up is planned for the Owl’s Head crag in Cascade Pass! It’s a fun little crag with spectacular views and easy to moderate routes.

The forecast calls for rain at 6pm though just as we’re getting started, so if that happens we’ll head to @vanhoevenberg’s indoor Hi-Notch gym for after-hours climbing ($7, 5-8pm).

See you tomorrow night, July 30, for our weekly meet up! We’re climbing at the standout Pitchoff Chimney Cliff by Cascade Lakes. There’s something for everyone, whether is warming up on the Practice Wall, multi-pitching on one of the many routes that top out the cliff, or throwing yourself at the classic single pitch Roaches on the Wall (5.10).

We’ll meet at the pull-off across the street, but you’ll definitely see us on the cliff if you’re a little late. Directions and crag info at the link in our bio. Don’t forget your water and headlamp!

Great success at Tilman’s Arete!

To make the most of our hottest week of the summer so far (and the solstice! ☀️), we’re moving our meetup from Deadwater to Chapel Pond TOMORROW! We’ll have ropes going at Tilman’s Arete, Shipton’s Arete, and The Aquarium (5.3 and up). Maybe some parties going up the Slab or checking out the bouldering? And easy access to the pond to take a dip in-between climbs! Bring your usual stuff, plus a swim suit and towel, and let’s beat the heat! 🥵🏊💦
